If you are in Australia for Australia Day then you’re in luck, it’s the day the nation come together to celebrate what’s great about Australia and being Australian. You will have an endless list of options for celebrating, from BBQ’s in the parks, beers down the local or ticketed events that offer the whole shebang.
So keep the 26 January free so you can celebrate the arrival of the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain, and the raising of the Union Jack at Sydney Cove by its commander Captain Arthur Phillip in 1788.

When the Sydney harbor bridge and opera house light up, it is definitely a memory that will stick for some time.
